The DM40 packs a large 40 megapixel sensor matched with high-end optics technology and a 16bit/channel color palette to produce what is widely considered to be top-notch color accuracy. On the back, users will find a 3.3” color LCD touchscreen. This Mamiya camera comes with a “DF” core, meaning photographers have the choice between two shutter systems; leaf or focal plane. The leaf system enables high speed flash synchronization, which can be helpful for those who encounter difficult daylight situations. Photograph files can be stored on either a CF card, or a tethered computer via FireWire. Compatible processing software includes Capture One, Leaf Capture and Adobe Lightroom.
