Nikon D3s
$5,200.00
Released November, 2009
The Pros:Excellent low-light performance. D3 body - ergonomic and durable. Small button-interface tweaks have made the device a lot more user friendly than previous D3-based models.
The Cons:Relatively low resolution 12.1MP sensor. Video mode just isn't that great - motion JPEG format, no 1080p mode. High price.
The Nikon D3s is an upcoming DSLR slated for a likely release in October or November of 2009. It will in fact replace the D3 as Nikon’s flagship DSLR, as it will support 720p/24 video, 11fps continuous still shooting, and 1.6x crop mode.

A high ISO rating of 200-12800 (versus 200-6400) allows the camera to have exceptional low-light performance - letting users to photograph at night without a tripod, and picking up minute details in darkness without the excessive noise penalties of other cameras. The huge jump in continuous shooting (from 9fps) will be possible via the addition of an extra EXPEED processing chip. Additional features include a 12.1MP FX sensor.
